Did you know that this common prickly weed had been used since antiquity as an aphrodisiac in love potions and baths? Those, who were seen to collect Thistle (Cardon in Spanish) in fifteenth century, were burned alive by Spanish inquisition for witchcraft. In ancient Rome thistle was used in the baths of nobles to produce sensual stimulating effect on the skin and genitals, which made them deliciously sensitive to touch. Scots went as far as placing the image of this mysterious weed on their National Emblem!

“VENUS in your BATH” recipe can turn any ordinary evening into a blissful romance, fun or a party for two especially if you add to it a bottle of bubbly and some delicious finger food.

Ingredients

  • 1 x thistle plant, including its root (Milk Thistle is available in the herbal shops or can be easily collected FREE from the wild, as they grow pretty much all over the globe.)
  • 1 x lemon (zest only)
  • 10 drops x almond or jasmine oil
  • 1 x linen or cotton bag
  • Silky Ribbon

Put on protective gloves, then wash and chop up thistle plant into small pieces. Add lemon zest and almond or jasmine oil. Rub all together for two-three minutes, then place the mixture into the bag and tie it up with the ribbon. Pop the bag into a bathtub filled with warm water and soak for 5-8 minutes, then wash your or your partner’s body using thistle bag as a sponge.

Warning: Do not use if you have sensitive skin and always avoid contact with eyes.
